A painter and illustrator, Alberta Kinsey was an art instructor at the University of Ohio in Lebanon. She studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and was a member of the Cincinnati Women's Art Club. She then moved to New Orleans, where she worked with Ellsworth Woodward and lived in the French Quarter for more than thirty years.
