The following text was found at the back of one of the artist's painting on a gallery label:. Charles Perron was born at Plesse in 1893 and is noted for his landscapes, still lives and nudes. His delicate still life compositions in particular recall to mind the style and spirit of Chardin and he has received numerous honours including the second "grand prix de Rome" in 1921.
