The artist Hannes Mlenek started his artistic training in 1970, at the age of 21, attending the class of Adolf Frohner at the University of Applied Arts Vienna as a guest. Whereas his early work was characterized by a clear figurative style, Mlenek has developed a rather abstract pictorial language by now. His large-scaled paintings often show gestural, dynamic sketches that are combined with white and greyish colors. The human body and its movements are however still the starting point of all... His large-scaled paintings often show gestural, dynamic sketches that are combined with white and greyish colors. The human body and its movements are however still the starting point of all his artistic expressions. Hannes Mlenek's painting have been exhibited all over the world and numerous galleries presented him at international art fairs, such as the Art Basel or the FIAC in Paris.
