In the years 1955-1958 Krawczyk fell under the charm of old Lódz and painted a number of lyrical landscapes depicting fragments of the city. A group of works was also created showing the artist's self-ironic attitude towards himself, which manifested itself in a series of metaphorical self-portraits.
