Ronald Davies (1932-1982). He was born on Feb.5 1932 and passed away on April 1 1982. He started painting at the age of fourteen years old. After finishing school he worked in his father's landscaping business but painting was his dream and biggest desire. At some point he left working for his father to pursue painting for a living. He went to art school and was taught by one of the group of seven, Arthur Lismer. He was able to put paintings in small galleries in Montreal where he was born and lived. At some point his mother opened a gallery on Sherbrooke Street in Montreal. She ran and was very successful selling his paintings at Davies House of Paintings for twenty five years.
