At a young age, Angelo Titonel moved to Milan to study at the Scuola Superiore d'Arte Applicata all'Industria del Castello Sforzesco. He then worked as a graphic designer and art director for advertising agencies. After some time, he gave up this activity in order to devote himself entirely to painting. He then worked as a graphic designer and art director for advertising agencies. After some time, he gave up this activity in order to devote himself entirely to painting. In the 1960's he moved to Rome, and joined the movement of ‘magic realism’. He created a series of portraits of the Presidents of the Republic and other important historical personalities at the Quirinale Palace in Rome. Since 1992, Titonel has been living and working in Imola.
