With obvious artistic talent from childhood, he became a distinguished painter of western genre reflecting his growing up on a ranch in southwestern Colorado. For nearly 20 years, he worked as a landscape architect and commercial artist through the ad agency he owned. From 1990, he has been a full-time artist and in 1994, he moved back to the family ranch so that he can be immersed in the landscape and human life that he likes to paint.
