In 1964 he was invited to the International Biennial of Art in Venice and from 1974 to 1978 was a member of the Executive Council. In 1985 he exhibited at Gucci's Gallery in New York and in the same year he had his first retrospective exhibition at the Rotonda della Besana in Milan.
