First art class was the native of Vienna from his uncle, the sculptor, painter and draftsman Siegfried Charoux. First art class was the native of Vienna from his uncle, the sculptor, painter and draftsman Siegfried Charoux. In 1928 the young artist moved to Brazil, where he was a study painting under Waldemar da Costa recorded at the Liceu de Artes e Oficios de São Paulo. While Charoux 'early works - consisting mainly of landscapes and portraits - is still influenced significantly by the style of teaching master, so the artist began after 1948 increasingly with architectural issues and play dealt with both the interplay between the white lines and black areas and with the tension between figure and background....
