Paddy is the great painter and one of the most influential insiders in this region. He is married to Bessie Sims Nakamarra, also a recognized artist and important initiate. He is at the origin of the pictorial movement in Yuendumu but owes his fame to his trip to Paris in 1989 for the famous exhibition "The Magicians of the Earth" at the Center Georges Pompidou.
