The human body is at the heart of Peter Makolies' pictorial work. In recent years, the artist created especially faces and heads, which he worked out example of found fieldstone. Since 1978 he was looking for a - as he himself describes - "consistent form (formula) for the female torso" (cf. biogr Annex, in: Peter Makolies sculptures, Dresden 1995th.). Since 1978 he was looking for a - as he himself describes - "consistent form (formula) for the female torso" (cf. biogr Annex, in: Peter Makolies sculptures, Dresden 1995th.). In the 1980s he also created numerous female figures, individual heads and women torsos, with a strong overlength stature. Mythological or biblical characters take turns starting with nameless pregnant and strong abstraction crafted female bodies. Also at this time the "Torso T.D.C." originated from white Carrara marble.
