Alfons Leopold Mielich (1863 - 1929) . The oriental painter Alphons Mielich studied in Paris, London and Munich. He spent several years in England and the Orient. Especially his journeys to North Africa served as a source of inspiration for him. Emperor Franz Joseph I and the ministry of education purchased several of his paintings depicting motifs from Cairo.
