Emilios Prosalentis was the son of painter Spyridon and grandson of the first modern Greek sculptor Paul Prosalentis. Having taken his first painting lessons from his father, he went to Paris, where he studied engineering. After his return to Greece he served as an engineering officer in the Navy, showing the various ports and the lives of the military ship. These issues and seascapes are the backbone of his work. Emilios Prosalentis was the son of painter Spyridon and grandson of the first modern Greek sculptor Paul Prosalentis. Having taken his first painting lessons from his father, he went to Paris, where he studied engineering. After his return to Greece he served as an engineering officer in the Navy, showing the various ports and the lives of the military ship. These issues and seascapes are the backbone of his work. At the same time interested in the depiction of historical events from various wars that took place mainly in the sea, but also for the return of archaeological sites and monuments. Mostly watercolor, contributed, along with Giallinas and Bokatsiampi, creating a tradition of this technique in Corfu.
