Gerhard Wienckowski (born September 25, 1935 in Fürstenwalde / Spree ; † April 6, 2011 in Eberswalde ) was a German painter and graphic artist. He was the son of a blacksmith. After training and working in the painting trade, he studied from 1954 to 1957 at the College of Applied Arts in Potsdam. After an apprenticeship at the school from 1958 to 1959, he studied painting, wall painting and free graphics at the Dresden University of Fine Arts from 1959 to 1966, with Hans Theo Richter among others. After that he worked as a freelancer in Eberswalde until his death. His grave is in the forest cemetery Eberswalde.
