Vincent-Anglade was a pupil of Gustave Moreau, Fernand Corom and Francois Flameng at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and also Amable Pinta. Early in his career, Vincent-Anglade became a fashionable portrait painter, mainly of intimate paintings of women.
