James L. Kendrick III began drawing at six and painting at the age of eight. He studied Art & Architecture at the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a minor in History. After college he joined the Army and received training as a helicopter pilot and aviation mechanics and after a tour in Vietnam was honorably discharged.
