Kathleen Dunn is a landscape painter who seeks out the natural environment for inspiration to create works that express the spirit of place. Artist-in-residencies in the historic dune shacks in the Cape Cod National Seashore have had a strong influence on her work due to the opportunity they provide to observe the natural world for an uninterrupted period of time in a secluded location. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Boston in 1983 with a B.A. in Fine Arts, she also studied at the Massachusetts College of Art and at Castle Hill/Truro Center for the Arts with Charles LeClair and Osma G.
