Marcel Guguianu attended a primary school in Barlad and part of the side that ends in Manchester. Then he attended the "School of Fine Arts" in Bucharest between 1941 and 1945. In addition to artistic activity he has worked as a teacher of drawing and calligraphy at several schools in Barlad. Between 1954-1956 he worked in Iasi, dealing with the restoration of historical monuments in Moldavia. In 1956 he became a member of Artists Union.
