As a young man, he went to Paris, where he settled in the bohemian, arts area of Montmartre and met many of the avant-garde artists such as Pablo Picasso, Jacques Villon and Jean Paul Francois Galle. He exhibited oil paintings at the Paris Salons, and in 1938 won first honorable mention for his painting Cathedrale de Rouen. In October 1969, a... Read full biography
