Robert Alott was born in 1850 in Graz. Alott was an Austrian landscape and genre painter from the Düsseldorf School. He traveled to many countries on the Mediterranean coast. Alott created many Italian vedute convincing with their local color and special atmosphere. From 1868 to 1873 he attended the Art Academy Vienna.
