"I've always wanted to be an artist," Wood recalled. "In grade school I used to make soap carvings and drawings that I showed at the Doylestown Fairgrounds across from Fonthill, where Belmont Square is today. I used to bring home a pile of ribbons. Then in high school I even started selling my paintings.". Following a stint in the Army as a war photographer, Wood built children's furniture, drove a coal truck across the Pennsylvania Mountains, and built approximately twenty... Read full biography
