Adalie Brent lived a life filled with art. She was an artist working in multiple media, a graphic designer, teacher and long-time museum director who had an influential role in the development of the cultural scene of Baton Rouge for over four decades. After several years of teaching at Louisiana State University in the early 1950s, Brent continued to teach at Saint Joseph’s Academy for twelve years. She then became the first director of the Louisiana Arts and Science Center in Baton Rouge.
