Clifford Hall studied at Richmond School of Art, then Putney School of Art and at the Royal Academy Schools from 1925-1927 under Charles Sims, Ernest Jackson, George Clausen and Walter Sickert and in the late 1928 briefly under André Lhote in Paris. In 1946, he held his first of three solo exhibition at Roland Browse & Delbanco. His Memorial exhibition was at the Belgrave Gallery in 1977.
