    This biography was submitted by artist's son Geraint Hall, on May 30th, 2018:
    Clifford Hall studied at Richmond School of Art, then Putney School of Art and at the Royal Academy Schools from 1925-1927 under Charles Sims, Ernest Jackson, George Clausen and Walter Sickert and in the late 1928 briefly under André Lhote in Paris.
    His first solo exhibition was at the St Martin's Gallery, London WC2. During the 1930s and 40s subsequent solo shows were held at the Leger Gallery and Beaux Arts Gallery. In 1946, he held his first of three solo exhibition at Roland Browse & Delbanco.
