The following is from Rachel McKay:. Maude Drein Bryant was born in Wilmington, Delaware, May 11, 1880. She studied under Thomas Anschutz, Hugh H. Breckenridge, William M. Chase; at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts; and the Academie Colarossi in Paris. She married fellow artist Everett Lloyd Bryant on June, 2, 1904. The Bryant's purchased "Brookside Studios" on the Perkiomen Creek in Hendricks, PA shortly after their marriage. Newspaper commentary from her day:.
