In 1999 he attended the Art Academy Burg Giebichenstein/Halle as a visiting student and was trained in the sculpture class of Bernd Göbel. From 1997-2003 he studied at the Art Academy Berlin-Weissensee under Berndt Wilde whose master student he became.
