His nudes found its parallel in the group of so-called naturalists, for example, represented by Alfred Hrdlicka, Fritz Martinz and Hans Eisler, who used the objective character image. Kornberger's early works are characterized by the confrontation with Cubism and Surrealism, while his later works have a decidedly picturesque design and process elements of the expressionism of the New Wild.
