He was born in Northampton, Massachusetts in 1864 and died in 1949. He was the son of noted Oberlin College professor of mathematics and philosophy, Charles Henry Churchill. He studied in Berlin, Leipzig, and Paris from 1887-1890, and received a Masters of Arts from Oberlin in 1898. He studied again in Paris from 1904-1906 on a grant from... Read full biography

He was born in Northampton, Massachusetts in 1864 and died in 1949. He was the son of noted Oberlin College professor of mathematics and philosophy, Charles Henry Churchill. He studied in Berlin, Leipzig, and Paris from 1887-1890, and received a Masters of Arts from Oberlin in 1898. He studied again in Paris from 1904-1906 on a grant from Columbia University and attended the Academie Julien under Jules Lefebvre.
