Gordon Arthur Meadows (1866-1937). The son of marine and ship painter Arthur J. Meadows, he was born December 24, 1866 at his parents' home at 43, Merchant Street in Bow. He was christened the following year at the Meadows family church, Holy Trinity, Mile End, on October 24, 1867. He later lived in Hornsey and Tottenham in London.
