Blunck first learned the carpenter's trade and then studied painting and architecture first in Hamburg and Vienna and then as a student of Anton von Werner in Berlin. After completing his education, he returned to Berlin where he became a teacher at the municipal arts and crafts school and head of the field office in Berlin-Kreuzberg. In addition to his teaching work Blunck made work as a painter, draftsman and architect. For the 1892 to 1894 built Samariterkirche in Berlin Blunck designed the stained glass for the choir windows, which were then executed by the Royal Institute of Stained Glass in Berlin-Charlottenburg for... After completing his education, he returned to Berlin where he became a teacher at the municipal arts and crafts school and head of the field office in Berlin-Kreuzberg. In addition to his teaching work Blunck made work as a painter, draftsman and architect.
