Zheng Baizhong was born in 1945 in Fuzhou. He studied under both Chen Zifen and Lu Yanshao. He used to teach Chinese Fine Arts and Art History at the Fujian Educational Academy, and at the Fujian Professional School. He settled in Los Angeles in 1996 and is now a professor both at the University of California and Furen University, China. He is also a member of the China Artists’ Association and a National First Class Painter.
