During his career, Carl participated in the exhibitions of the Skåne Art Association in 1935–1937, the exhibition of the Swedish Arts Council in 1940, and had individual exhibitions in Stockholm and Köping. He created still lifes, flowers, mountain landscapes. He continued the style of Hans Larsson.
