Caferino Carnacini was born in Buenos Aires, before moving to Italy with his parents where he studied in Verona, later returning to Buenos Aires when he was eighteen to study at the Academy of Fine Arts. He was a highly successful and popular painter in Argentina. An exhibition was held on the centenary of his birth, and his house was transformed into the Carnacini House Museum which is decorated with many of his paintings.
