Zhu Yan, also known as Brother Bear, was a painter in the Qing Dynasty. He changed his name from Chen to Zhu Yan later in life. He was known for his paintings of workers, flowers, and birds, and his style combined the finesse of Zhang Xiong and the detachment and elegance of Wang Li.
