Cupar Pilson was born in Belfast and paints landscapes dominated by human figures in oils, acrylics and mixed media. His work often features a hint of humour or whimsy and he generally paints scenes from around North Down. The artist has exhibited with the Royal Ulster Academy and is a member of the Arts Society of Ulster and the Bangor Art Club. Pilson has received prizes at the Percy French Watercolour Annual Shows and the Rose Society of Ulster’s Annual Exhibitions.
