Curt Grosspietsch, born in 1893 in Leipzig, Germany, was a German painter who studied at the Leipzig School of Arts and Crafts and later at the Dresden Academy with notable artists such as Sterl, Müller, and Zwintscher. He developed friendships with fellow artists Otto Dix and George Grosz during his time in Dresden. After 1945, Grosspietsch worked as a freelance artist in Dresden until his death in 1980.
