Dis Berlin is a Spanish artist from Zaragoza who has worked in sculpture, painting, and photography. He began his career with abstract works, but later moved towards figuration, experimenting with different elements of reality such as urban landscapes, the sea, and the mountains. He has won several prizes and held solo exhibitions in Spain, Argentina, Portugal, and Greece. In this particular work, he arranges the silhouettes of a lot flower and a leaf on a neutral background, with a young woman seated in a yoga posture on a large leaf. The work is part of his blue period, where he experimented with different elements of reality and achieved a sense of solitude and melancholy through the cold tonality and the modelling of the forms which...
