Many aren't aware he directed the background art in the "Rites of Spring" segment for Disney's original Fantasia, and worked on numerous films up until that fateful day in 1954 when he'd had enough, stormed into Walt's office and gave... Many aren't aware he directed the background art in the "Rites of Spring" segment for Disney's original Fantasia, and worked on numerous films up until that fateful day in 1954 when he'd had enough, stormed into Walt's office and gave him a piece of his mind. He then went home, dug a hole in the back yard, smashed every cell and piece of original background art he had and buried it all.
