After completing his studies, Gradischnig operated his own lithography workshop in Klagenfurt. In 1990 he chose to complete further training and learned the art of ceramic wall design under Karl Schüssler in Wolfsburg. Many travels in the following years took him to France, Italy, Africa, Hungary and Russia. His works are found today in the Albertina in Vienna, in the Landesgalerie Klagenfurt, in the Essl Collection, as well as in other collections in Germany and Austria.
