The painter Prieur-Bardin was a French-born artist who went to Constantinople in the early 1890s, remaining there until 1901, although he originally only planned to stay a short while. His output was relatively small, mostly produced between the early 1890s and 1905, when he lived in Constantinople, in Turkey.
