Galina Alekseyevna Roumyanseva was born in 1927 in Leningrad. She went to the Leningrad Repin Art College until 1957 and studied under Boris Iogansson. Her subject matter is mostly depictions of her family and landscape impressions. She began taking part in national and international exhibitions from 1957 on.
