The artist lived most of his life in Portland Maine with his wife Marion (Foster Thorndike) Morris. He loved to paint the New England coast especially the town of Ogunquit Maine. His seascapes always involved crashing waves and moss covered rocks, boats or the Charming New England town of Ogunquit. His favorite places to paint were Perkins Cove, and The Marginal Way.
