He often painted characters (with demands. you can't get over it), still lifes and female nudes. He started from paper models (taken from newspapers like "Paris Hollywood" the ancestor of the "Lui" and "Playboy" magazines), because his wife forbade him to receive live models. He was faithful in friendships, for proof, in 1949 Edouard Chapotat - when he made his portrait - Georges Manillier (in exchange) offered him this... Read full biography
