Herman de Vries is a Dutch artist known for his exploration of natural themes and the interplay between chaos and order in his artworks. Born in the Netherlands, he has been associated with the Dutch Informel movement and the "nul" group. In 2015, he represented the Netherlands at the Venice Biennale. De Vries creates monochromatic, white-on-white reliefs that feature smaller squares overlapping, casting shadows, and protruding into three-dimensional space, creating a push and pull effect on...
