He then moved to Berlin where he has been living, with several interruptions, ever since. Miesler is mainly known for his atmospheric and dynamic vedutas of German cities. German painter, draftsman and graphic artist (born 1934 in Wroclaw), first painting student of Emil Merbach in Reichenbach / Oberlausitz and with Willi Schulz in Görlitz, undertook study trips to Holland, France and Spain, freelance from 1957, lived in 1978-81 in Austria, active in Berlin and Bad Oeynhausen from 1981
