It was not until later that Hanley took up painting commercially following his work as an engineer. Hanley is a United Kingdom artist who specialises in the representation of Northern life and scenes painting in oils, acrylics and mixed media. Already recognised as a talent in the contemporary art scene, Hanley has recently secured the commission for the cover of Biff Byford's (legendary frontman with the heavy metal band Saxon) solo album 'School of Hard Knocks' released in February 2020.
