John Stritch started his professional career as a flight surgeon in the United States Armed Forces, where he was for a time stationed in England. Trained in medicine at Boston University, Dr. Stritch worked after his military discharge as a contract surgeon for the Esso company in Aruba, servicing employees, their families and the local population. Trained in medicine at Boston University, Dr. Stritch worked after his military discharge as a contract surgeon for the Esso company in Aruba, servicing employees, their families and the local population. Dr. Stritch traveled the world extensively before his mid 30's. In 1964 John and his wife Jeanne moved to Hinsdale Massachusetts where he ceased his successful career as a surgeon, and settled into being a Sculptor and Painter, making modern abstract and bold designs in each medium.
