José Campas was born in 1888. Jose Campas was a disciple of Carlos Reis, Léon Bonnat, JP Laurens and Jacques Jobbé-Duval. Campas was a renowned landscaper. Campas obtained his first medal in painting by the National Society of Fine Arts and was awarded at the "Salon des Artistes Français". He was represented at the Grão Vasco Museum, in Viseu. The artist passed away in 1971.
