Joseph Drischler presumably studied at the Academy in Berlin around 1880. He was initially active at the workshop of the famous Berlin sculptor Rudolf Siemering (1835-1905). He then spent some time in America, before returning to Berlin. Drischler’s oeuvre includes a number of monuments as well as finely modeled figurines that were cast, among others, by the Berlin art foundry Gladenbeck. (cbo)
