Juan Vallejo de Lope was born in Burgos in 1949. From a very young age, he alternated his Baccalaureate and Pre-university classes with the need to paint, even with the most precarious means. His first exhibitions said a lot of fine woven arpilleras fabrics, for whose plots the burden of the texture held a number of informers of injustices. Already at that time of the decade of the sixties, Vallejo had been committed to the defense and vindication of democracy and public liberties. He lived in Madrid with the painter Navarro Bremón and draws at the Círculo de Bellas Artes. At age 18 he made his first solo exhibition in the halls of the Tower of the Arch of Santa María de Burgos, which marked his path through which the guidelines of young... Read full biography
